Pre-Conference Tour: Smart Grid Solutions Demonstration Center

Forum attendees are invited to participate in a free tour of the Smart Grid Solutions Demonstration Center at S&C Electric Company's global headquarters in Chicago. The demonstration center will allow you to see, in real time, how smart grid technologies respond to grid issues and optimize power delivery systems. The demonstration center includes interactive exhibits that display S&C's solutions such as microgrids, self-healing technology, energy storage integration solutions and communications systems.
Attendees also have the opportunity to interact with S&C's new, three-dimensional Microgrid Demo table to bring the complexities of these systems down to an easily understandable level. This learning tool helps attendees understand how microgrids deliver adaptive solutions to challenges on both sides of the meter through a variety of scenarios.
Participation in this tour is complimentary for all Forum attendees. However, you must reserve your spot online. Transportation will be provided to and from the Demonstration Center.

Tour participants should meet in the lobby of the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel, which is located at 636 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605.
- Note: The Renaissance Blackstone is not where the Grid Modernization Forum itself will be conducted. The Forum on Wednesday and Thursday, May 23-24, will be held at the Conference Chicago at University Center, 525 South State Street, Chicago
