Matt Nicholls leads business development for distributed solar and storage projects with industrial and utility customers. He joined Invenergy in July 2019 after more than eight years with GE in leadership roles where he co-founded GE Distributed Energy Solutions, a business delivering controls and engineering for behind the meter customers. He also held leadership roles in GE corporate strategy where he drove new energy growth initiatives, and business development in GE Global Research building public-private partnerships and strategic relationships with utility customers. Matt is a veteran of IBM where he developed large corporate alliances, developed business strategy for solar, and managed semiconductor engineering operations in state of the art fabs. Matt holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Marist College.
