Marc D. Montalvo is President of Daymark Energy Advisors. He works with industry and policymakers to develop and deploy power infrastructure and to build effective and efficient regulatory and market structures. His principal practice areas are competitive power market design, strategic planning, risk management, and capital budgeting and investment analysis. He has advised investors, developers, utilities, and government agencies and has appeared as an expert before FERC, Canadian provincial regulators, and state regulatory agencies on issues including power market design, resource economics, cost allocation, and resilience planning and risk management. Currently he is advising developers of off-shore wind, solar, battery storage and independent transmission seeking interconnection and integration into the RTO/ISO markets from ISO New England to MISO. Prior to joining Daymark, he worked for ISO New England as Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Director of Market Monitoring, and Director of Market Development. Before that, he worked for La Capra Associates as a consultant and manager of market analytics. He began his career at New England Power.
