Ananth is the Chief Architect and Business Leader for Integrated Grid in Portland General Electric focusing on building the next-generation grid. His current focus is leading a cross-functional team on Smart Grid & Grid Modernization efforts including Grid Operational Systems, AMI 2.0, Engineering & Planning modernization, Distribution Automation, Telecommunications, Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, Renewables integration and Internet of Things. His interests are heavily on standards-based integration, using and employing architecture driven initiatives. As a certified Enterprise Architect, he spearheads the business architecture in Portland General Electric. Before this Ananth spent few formative years in Southern California Edison leading various transformative programs in Information Technology and Transmission and Distribution business lines. Ananth is a graduate of Computer Science & Control Systems and also holds an MBA in Finance.
